SPORTS INTERVIEW

.

Natalia bordin

In this weeks sports skydiving interviews we have Natalia. One of our amazing Manifest ladies and all round hype girl. Natalia loves everything to do with skydiving. Tracking jumps being up there with her favourites. You’ll see her at the DZ pretty much all the time whether its working, having fun or throwing a ball for fur baby Phoenix.

This is Nat’s story and what she had to say!

.

how did you get into skydiving?

I have an unreasonable fear of heights which I wanted to work on. That is the main reason I start skydiving.  I have made a lot of progress so far and that makes me feel very proud of myself.

what was your favourite aff solo stage?

Stage 2 where I got to fly a parachute on my own for the first time. No words can describe that feeling.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A SKYDIVING MALFUNCTION?

Not a major malfunction, however line twists happen sometimes and being calm in a situation like that is the key. With all the knowledge passed to me from the experienced team of instructors at SA Skydiving, I fully trust myself and my decisions when a malfunction comes (which will happen eventually).

What has been your favourite skydiving memory?

Hard to choose one, but getting a ride on a wingsuiter is an incredible feeling, like flying on a magic carpet. All the 3 rodeos I have done were magic and I am looking forward for more!

Whats your skydiving goals you’re pursuing?

There are a few; become a solid belly flyer, become a good canopy pilot and flock sh!t up, become a wingsuiter and ultimately an AFF instructor for SA Skydiving.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Taking someone for their first rodeo on my back and for their first solo skydive.

If you could give any advice to yourself when you started skydiving, what would it be?

Insist, persist and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s, you will develop your skills in your own time, just believe in yourself.

Who should we interview next?

Sweet Iris
